‘Shake & Bake’ Convoy S2+

It was bought a while ago in black ano. The Convoy is probably the most modded torch on the market these days, taking over from Solarforce as 18650 host.

I stupidly bought one with about 6 modes, and could do with about 3 TBH. So I thought I’d try ano baking and distressing it a bit. Shaking in with some rocks and scrubbing on a patio slab, then onto the gas hob to cook the ano to this lovely brown colour. 10 minute job.

Ahah! Just discovered it’s not 6 modes to cycle through as I thought, It’s groups of mode selections. So for instance I can choose from, say moonlight/med/high as one of the groups and the torch memorises it. Or lo/high, or just high, or bike flash etc. Clever stuff, I’ve only had the thing sitting unused for a year or so

Thanks for a reminder. I have a simple 2 x AA LED torch beside where I'm sitting. Dead.
Electrical contacts needed a good sanding/cleaning.
We have so many power failures, it's good to have a light at hand all the time.
