I bought one of the S30V jobs off Heinnie and while the steel was nice the quality control on the rest of the knife was absolutely shite. Knocked it out on one of the FaceAche forums.
Lots of nostalgia though.

I used tohave the German version (Puma Game Warden) in my late teens. Probably drew more (of my own) blood than all my other knives combined. Either I learnt something from owning it (highly unlikely) or it was manufactured by Verona, Marishka and Aleera.

Any links to decent FB knife pages?

I've always fancied one but deep down I know it's shite in the modern world of knives?

Perhaps one day.
They are shite. I gave in to temptation twice, one regular annd one with finger grooves and got rid of them fairly soon afterwards.

I have also been tempted by the Slim in G10 at around half the weight of the bolstered lump, but I’m buggered if I’m spending that much when there is so much more out there for that kind of cash.

The Slim Pro, a fine example of how not to, and when not to, do thumbstuds. Otherwise it’s an acceptable looking knife, but way overpriced.
