This arrived yesterday, but I have only just got it into daylight to see it properly.
A few months back I wrote to Todd Kroenlein, just to congratulate him on a knife he'd made. He lives in a tiny village in SE Illinois and, as far as I could figure, hadn't made much for public consumption at that point. Later on, I wrote to ask if he'd consider making something flatground in O1 with a 3 1/2" blade. I had a few specifications but asked him to mainly work out the finer points. I mentioned that I rather liked the Brisa Elver.
I was expecting it to be well-made, but not as well-made as it has turned out to be. I'd seen pictures, obviously, but the belly, the sheath, the handle are all perfect and the tip is pretty remarkable in terms of how it balances strength with useability. Very happy with it. It really was not expensive either, and the simple style matched with accomplished execution reminds of Gene Ingram ... who, sadly, has recently quit the field due to injury.
