Grace Darling; now there's a name from the past. GD was in the heroines of my childhood. School still promoted that kind of thing when I was little. Stories of very able and capable women. Mary Slessor, Grace Darling, Agnes Randolphe, Edith Cavell, Christian Fletcher, Ada Lovelace and Mary Somerville, Jenny Geddes, Victoria Drummond, Elsie Inglis and Flora MacDonald.
