Pics from my five miler yesterday. I won't mention how I took the wrong turn for the car park and ended up in a narrow track in the woods intended for reservoir access machines and one wheel falling into a pothole, thankfully not trashing my car.

Nor how I got to the bridleway only to find it closed for construction work, despite it saying it was for widening the A59 road about a quarter of a mile away.

Didn't fancy walking by the a road for a mile presumably with no pavement. Or going all the way back. Thankfully gate wasn't locked, just latched, so I went through anyway! Got out the far end, saw a sign saying it was shut for six months, took a picture, timed it to the second as two lorries pulled up behind me on the back Lane, so I said hi and walked off the short way to the car park. They weren't to know I have just trespassed down the entire route. Phew!

Forgot to mention the field I walked through. Never had sheep follow me in such an animated way, had to shoo them off three times. Think they were trying to see me off. Then it was the turn of two lapwings, then some more of them. Not mobbing me but not far off. Guess they don't get many walkers in the field!
