Button lock knives

I am contemplating buying a Real Steel Metamorph G5. I dont own any lock knives although I can legitimately carry one for my work .
I know you lot probably have loads so is it worth pressing the button or should I be content with my slippies? opinions please.

If you use a knife in any way which might result in the blade accidentally closing then you need a lock knife for safety alone.

Not much experience with button locks but carry a lock knife daily at work, usually a delica 4 back lock or a bugout with axis lock.

Being able to rely on a lock for a bit of extra safety helps speed up tasks - a lot of tasks might be achievable with a slippy but require a longer more considered approach for safety like slowly paring something down instead of just cutting through.

When I first saw it I thought it looked a bit flimsy especially for a 'work' knife but once you see the thickness of the blade it's much more appealing.
