Sunny, but windy with the temp struggling to get into double figures and that's without strong wind that according to the dog gives a "feels like" temperature of "Feels like I'm staying curled up on your bed today, so get yourself a good book out Boss."
My bugger drags me out in everything, but has to be forced out for his last wee if rain is so much as forecast.

Dreich, the dog‘s a bit bedraggled after our walk.

That just sums up the day; it's been so heavily overcast here that I'm ready to fall asleep. It's wet, but it's just wet, it's not torrential, just enough wet to get cold and damp going out to fill the bird feeders or empty the re-cycling bins. My hair curls into ringlets when it gets damp like that....I had it cut not long ago, it looks totally gollywogged !

Overcast and nippy. The bit of moisture in the atmosphere makes all the difference.

It is a weird sensation landing back in sea-level Toronto from arid, elevated Calgary. In the hours after getting off the plane I can feel my body sucking in the moisture and oxygen from the air.

I discovered a funny thing: our eldest was over in Calgary recently and I was cooking dinner. I asked him to look at the pasta packet and tell me the cooking time; which he did. But the pasta came out nearly crunchy. So, of course, I made a sarky remark. Days later, however, it was pointed out to me by some students who were trying to get plastics to deform in the way they wanted them to, and were failing repeatedly, that that water boils at a lower temperature in Calgary. This explains a very great deal.

It's been no' bad here. We have had two rain showers but that was it. I'm half way through emptying one of the huge dalek like compost bins and have riddled what I pulled out...it's brilliant soil :) and I got the potting shed emptied and tidied...but I found masses of woodworm holes in timber I'd stashed in there......think I'm going to buy a plastic shed next time.

Drain guys came with a camera to look at one of the drains that still wasnt draining propetly after last weeks flooding.
Partial collapse of the drain and full of chunks of concrete. 2m square section of the warehouse floor is going to need ripping up, right on one of the major junctions:dig:
