Excellent

I wonder would he turn his nose up at a bit of pie, though?

Tried to sneak some steamed carrots into the dog's dinner. Need a plan B, I guess.

She's one of those who comes to check what you've put down for her then slopes off to return later at her leisure. She had a shock when this lost retriever (lovely idea) stayed with us for a day. It ate everything, edible or not, and definitely put a crease in her brow.

Mimi loves carrot raw, but won’t touch it cooked.

I’ve been making up gentle food for her as she’s had a lot of blood in her stools and been crapping it during the night in the kitchen. I’m including tinned pumpkin purée (not the sweetened and spiced stuff). This is on the recommendation of a vet who said the fibre is nice and soft for her gut.

Gradually increasing the ingredient list from boiled chicken, white rice and pumpkin to the same but added oats and some of her IAMs stuff mixed in.

I reckon puréed carrot isn’t going to give April a lot of choice, she’ll eat it if she wants what it’s mixed into. Lara used to have a Boxer that would do exactly what yours has done, but with peas. You could hide 3 peas in her food and she‘d polish them and leave them in her bowl.

This is exactly how our son eats.

Hope Mimi gets better soon, Rich

Thanks, she’s ok, It’s been going on for a while on and off, I reckon there have been big changes for her and anxiety is a factor.

She‘s always been with us both at night and slept close or on the end of the bed. Now she’s shut in a kitchen after being in a van for 6 months, there’s no Lara about, no Tyson about, her whole environment has changed. Even when we do take her out for walks together we separate at the end of the day. It’s not something she can possibly understand.

One night a week or so ago, I put the Synmat down on the kitchen floor next to her bed and camped out in the kitchen in case she needed a crap in the night. We had good snuggles and she was happy as can be, didn’t need to go out or anything so probably is stress related.
