Lovely neck of the woods. I used to work at the old asylum, High Royds, in Menston. I went by it a few years ago and I believe it's now luxury flats.

This was another cut out walk from the Yorkshire Post, as I started from the train station it wasn't quite right. I had the devil of a job getting started, getting the description of which road to walk down as the waffle an the os map didn't seem to tally. I had to go past the place you are on about, caused me no end of trouble.

This was another cut out walk from the Yorkshire Post, as I started from the train station it wasn't quite right. I had to go past the place you are on about, caused me no end of trouble.
I am occasionally asked for directions by folk who have a cut out or a wee book of "5 short walks round here" and I can't make out where they're meant to be. I have been standing looking at a normal house and taking a while to recognise it's a "cottage beside the road" because the previous pathways/lanes/roads were not as described.
