While VIP members have the ability to directly attach images & photos to posts, non VIP members will need to host their images elsewhere. This can be either on their own domain, or a third party image hosting site. I know there are multiple photo hosting alternatives out there, but Imgur is a cheap and easy option. You can create an account and have various albums (public and private), but you can also just upload random photos (without an account, or logging in) and link them back to the forum. Below is a simple guide to doing this.
Naviagte to Imgur on the internet. https://imgur.com/. Click on the "New Post" button at the top left of the window.
This will open the "Upload Portal"
You can either click on "Choose Photos" and navigate to the photo location on your PC, or simply drag the photo to where it says "Drop Images Here".
When your image has uploaded, click the little box with 3 dots on it.
This will open the drop down menu, click on "Get Share Links".
You will be offered a choice of link formats. We need the one that says "BB Code (Forums)". Click on the green "Copy Link" box and the link will be automatically copied. The code box will "flash" while this is happening to show you it has been copied.
Now paste this code into your post (right click mouse and click "Paste" in the menu box.
When you post your thread, your picture will appear.
