I never thought of that.I don't know if you can use it for other things, but it works fine as a dye mordant
Making notes here in case Putin invades.
His best bet. If he want's to twist NATO,s bollox it would be the perfect place as no NATO country would want to risk nuclear war over Shetland. Mind you, the south island wouldn't be much of loss to the rest of Europe at the moment. He is obviously invading shetland first
Too far from Europe to have the same effect.Lol, have you ever heard of the Falklands?
Amusingly (or not) the current government would struggle to do anything about it if Argentina invaded the Falklands (no long range [aka strategic] bomber since they retired the Vulcan, no planes on their aircraft carriers). Which is why the islands are now so heavily guarded.Lol, have you ever heard of the Falklands?
Are any of the aircraft carriers actually serviceable?Amusingly (or not) the current government would struggle to do anything about it if Argentina invaded the Falklands (no long range [aka strategic] bomber since they retired the Vulcan, no planes on their aircraft carriers). No, of course. But they could potentially be tugged thereAre any of the aircraft carriers actually serviceable?
Not likely, the Sunak's don't own any tug companies. No, of course. But they could potentially be tugged there

Good point. I'm sure they probably would have obtained shares in a Tug company before any order was required anyway. They gave millions to a non-existant ferry company so that shouldn't be a problem.
I was there on that day. To be fair, they weren't all ours. We had allies and an Empire then.Riding at Anchor - and awaiting the Queen. 15 June 53. Changed days indeed.
Not much left to defend, the Russians, Chinese and the Murcans own most of it.The noticeable bit about that huge fleet, even though it included allies, was that it was only some of the units of the fleet. Wasn't nearly the whole thing.
Now ? we'd struggle to defend Britain.
