The Civivi Foldis is quite similar too.

I often consider an Exarch but the hollow grind puts me off. Pretty academic considering I don't use knives anything like as much as I used to, so maybe I should just buy one.

Reading the news tonight brought this thread to mind.

Police have tasered a knife wielding boy in Ayr.
He was eleven years old.

Aye, indeed.

This made me laugh, no playing pirates on the beach with your child any more.

As kids we ran around my Grandparents gardens armed with Kukris.
My Uncle had been the MO for the 2nd battalion Gurkha Highlanders in HK for his NS, the kukris were real.

We were children but we knew not to actually 'stab' or 'slice' anyone with them.
Kids are only stupid if allowed to be.

We also had two cavalry sabres, and a French epee that we played with.
There was also a domed Saracen shield that had originally been gold decorated, and leather covered targe.

They were just family detritus stored away in sheds and we had free run of the place.

the beautiful south. but NOT on the island
My neighbours youngest kid was suspended from school yesterday for supplying weapons to his mate. His dad is a coppicer on the crown estate so bladed articles are part of his life. His mum explained that he used knives and machetes regularly when he works with his dad and their house is full of them. The actual 'weapon was a mini rambo knife made from a plastic ruler. The kid is 11 years old ffs.

You need to enter the code, I didn't want to post it publicly in case it was verboten; I got an email from Heinnie about it yesterday.

Not as big a loser as me. I bought one from Heinnie and by the time it was shipped it cost a few pennies over £50. They were knocking them out recently at about £25. Now they are giving them away.
Nah, not a loser. If we waited to buy something we wanted in case the price might come down we would never buy anything.

It's the only flipper knife I own, seems to hold in the open position quite well but closing it either leaves it half shut, or it bounces off the detent and half opens again.

I'm sure my Dad would love one but it'd drive my Mum nuts.
