I received a pair of Kühl Above the Law today, first impression is that they won't last. They seem decent for the most part but the material is quite lightweight, and the inside of the front pockets seem to be made of the same stuff as leggings?

Disaster, the pocket has now developed a slight hole, I knew this stretchy legging material wouldn't last.

Time to get the Singer 99K out!

I haven't worn mine yet as it's too warm. Don't know why they didn't make the pockets out of the same outer material. Obvious weak point.

I happen to have my Rydr’s on at the mo, about 5 years or so old. The pocket lining is canvas, not as thick as the outer but robust.

You’ve not had them long, maybe get in touch with Kuhl?

Day 3of wearing my above the law pants. Hmmn. Front pockets definitely feel like they won't last. Other than that I quite like them. God knows how I'm going to dry them after washing as it says do not tumble dry and they're very thick at the front with a few layers.

I occasionally look for Kuhls, just in case; Taunton Leisure had them down to £115 and I was uhm-ing and ah-ing but today they're down to £99, I was right to hesitate!

Thats a good deal but with hindsight I wouldn't have bought them. Pocket material lets them down. Bit baggy for my liking. Front zippered leg pockets are no good except for maybe a notebook as anything else annoys my front thigh. Hard to dry when washed. Do I need to go on.

The pockets are holding up better than I'd have thought, one got holed by the corner of my phone but I ignored it and nothing has come of it? Front zippered pockets are of course, useless, but the vents work better than I'd have imagined.

Must resist.....

Your pair looked smart stevie. I'm trying not to buy anything outdoorsy. See how it goes!

I wear shorts March to October, so don't get much wear out of trousers

I’ve committed to shorts pretty much all year now. I wouldn’t be surprised if I have more pairs of trousers than days I wear them per year.
