Scotland's first minister is being thoroughly heart roasted by his Palestinian in-laws.

So far in the past week they've been arrested on drugs charges, dealing in heroin apparently, and now they're charged because someone was thrown out of a three storey up window.....aye, indeed, you couldn't make it up
And the Polis were sent after wee Nicola with full publicity bandwagon but bugger all charges.

If it was anybody else's brother in law, their name wouldn't be mention. At least it's a break from #ferrybad stories though.
Westminster really is terrified of losing free access to Scotland's natural resources. The stories are going to more febrile as the election approaches.

It's an old old story. There's a copy of a newspaper article in the Smithsonian from 1770ish saying how the United States cannot afford to go independent, how England will not bail them out when they inevitably fail etc.
Same for Singapore, same for Malta..
UK, gaslighting since forever.

The Walrus is nice, at that end of Lower Marsh. The Pineapple is near (but across Lambeth Bridge) .. named for the pineapples on the bridge. Odd old place - kind of lost is soul when it got redecorated in the 90s. But, rumour is that the Good Friday agreement and the quiet chats leading up to that all happened in their upstairs rooms.

She is genuinely one of the few that usually make the good calls and her heart is always in the right place (even when I disagree with her stance).
In fact, although I wouldn't vote for her (I cannot vote on general elections, she's not my MP and she's standing down from the HoC at the next election), Caroline Lucas is of a similar breed, not just because it's the same party. Also I completely accept it's easy to get the calls right when there is no chance anyone will ask you to make it work.

It seems excessive, but it's like a business, and they need people to do the work.
So, not just the 'help' work that the busy wealthy require, the property staff, etc., but the secretaries, the personal aides, the communications folks, the security team, the planners, and so on, and they have three children, one of whom will be King, so they're an attractive lure for the greedy and unprincipled, so again, people.

It all adds up. Seen as a business though ? is it viable ? is it financially responsible ?

I'm white, my life is very white, and I am becoming a little irked at the endless imposition of black people in adverts supposedly targetting me/ my family, etc., yet it is a multi-cultural country these days. It just feels disproportionate to the reality of the numbers ? a sort of demand that I will comply and agree that 'black' is the new normal.....while it's not.
The Prince's 'household'photo shows everyone is white, it was rather a surprise, tbh.

The ethnic minority person was taking the picture.

If I remember correctly, when the current king was PoW, one of the PA was in charge of squeezing the toothpaste on the toothbrush, allegedly.

40 odd years ago I was a toffee boiler. I first met my wife when the department she worked in sent her down for a bucket of steam. She's not as thick now though. We used to blast steam into their bucket and put a cloth over the top and send them off.
