A gift!

This is the only photo I managed with all four dogs; Rinder was trying to shag all of them, including himself.

Nice old recover vehicle in the shed.

The mighty Quechua shelter, it was invaluable.

Petrol!

The fire on the last night, it wasn't great for it but I thought it would be daft not to have it going, the tarp made it reasonable pleasant although it changed the wind somewhat and at one point we were getting the smoke in our faces.

Quarterstaff's bivi for the last night, looked a pretty decent setup once the tarp was pegged down.

Good wee trip, I'll have a look now for somewhere in the south!

Shall we leave finding the Spring one with you Andy, Richard and Steve? Or do you want me to find something South-East? (if available, Paul Bardster's field would be very good, for example [near Pluckley])

Bardsters field sounds good if no one else has an alternative.
Can’t commit to it obviously, the future is uncertain, but Bardsters is a good shout. I need to find another place round here like Newhouse Farm, but these places are few and far between.

Rich, are you still in contact with Paul? I have no shame in trying to contact him but he has totally disappeared from my sight.

I’m not, it’s been years. @MaC might, from BCUK connections. He was due at Wests Wood Fair last year according to Roger from Bison Bushcraft, but couldn’t make it. Other person on there who might know would be one of the mods, Wayne from Forest Knights.

Now that I have my Tipi stove (humble brag, if that's allowed) I am looking for a nice kettle for the many brews it will undoubtedly have to prepare. So no Kelly for me. The stove has shown to be extremely capable in warming up bolognese sauce in no time at all in the Lakes.

Thank you Mary but that's too big, I'm not that keen on people :rofl::coat:

Something for 1 to 4 would be plenty; I can make a couple more rounds if needs must
Eagle Industries are nice. Got one in the van but just as soon chuck it on the fire. They do a .7 or 1.5l.

Get a cast iron one. It will sit on the edge of the stove all day long and remain warm. Can also use it in a fire if needed.
